Today I Learned: Leonard Cohen is a famous Canadian poet/songwriter/singer, and "Hallejujah" maybe his most famous song, is NOT a religious song. (despite my hearing it in church as such more than a few times... though it was written by one of those fancy schmany contemporary Christian artists who cater to mega-church audiences).
(Also, apparently some of his poems and lyrics are NSFW)

You really haven't *lived* until you've heard "Hallelujah" as a perky 8-bit audio song.
He sang the chorus, too.
After class, we had to sit in the car for a few minutes.
Finally, I said, "Ashley's is still open, let's go get some alcohol," and we did.

There is so much to learn and know, and each new thing fits itself into (and subtly changes the shape of) my general web and framework of knowledge, expanding my lens on the world.
This is a comfort when times are challenging (as they are right now).
