Just booked an overnight sleeper train from Berlin to Budapest, which will be my first sleeper experience in Europe. Weirdly exciting, haha
@Techaltar Enjoy the local food!!!!
@Techaltar I can whole heartedly recommend Swedish and French sleepers. You even get free stuff with the French one #sncf #sj
@Techaltar sleeper train was my favorite way to travel when I was there which we had them on a reasonable schedule in canada
@Techaltar Which company did you book and when can we see the video about your experience?
@343max I booked through MAV (hungarian railway), though I don't actually know who will operate the train
@Techaltar quite a nice way to travel but european companies offering sleeper trains are often in shambles. Quality of service is, to be kind, perfectible. The rolling stock seem to undergo a massive modernization but a slow one, during which there is quite a lot of technical problems and breakdowns with older models. I wish you a better travel than ours was 😅
@implicitdeny @Techaltar ÖBB is the one operator serving this niche.
@alesroubicek @implicitdeny
The video I checked about this train implies that the train is a combination of wagons from multiple operators, including Polish, Czech and Hungarian rail btw

@Techaltar Ah, that means you are transitting through Wrocław. You shall come by. @alesroubicek @implicitdeny
@Mae a pretty good contract to be had tbh
