Another day, another water utility CEO being paid bonuses even as the utilities continue to fail customers (and society more generally).
This time its Anglican Water; side-stepping OFWAT's rules on bonus payment(s) Mark Thurston was handed a £500k 'retention payment' paid for not by the water company but by its parent company (not governed by OFWAT's rules).
The rentier class continue to drain (pun intended) cash out of the utilities (albeit in a roundabout way).
