First I've heard of this. Apparently it's a deGoggled Android/Linux. Anyone know how good they are on respecting their customers' Software Freedoms and Right to Repair?
@strypey @leanderlindahl The only thing I was a little annoyed about is the weight and thickness of the phone. But I got used to that. And being able to put all text on the screen to tiny, much smaller than most android devices allow, and having an extra dim which actually extra dims the screen in the dark is worth the slight inconvenience of the mass and dimension in my opinion.
Asking questions to their support team gives you good and precise answers, but with a few days waiting time.

On the software side, the android feels quite like a normal android but no Google if you don't force it on the phone. Their Google imitation to run apps which rely on Google libraries without the actual background service works really well. I didn't have any issues so far. However, I should mention that I said goodbye to big tech accounts and apps before I received the Plinius, so I don't know about meta, amazon, etc. apps. Banking, fediverse, maps, etc. work well.
@strypey @leanderlindahl I just started using the Plinius about two months ago, so I cannot say much on their repair processes. But judging from the phone itself, you can disassemble it with precision screw drivers and order parts if e.g. the battery is losing its capacity, etc.

I'm using murena /e/OS on a shift phone 8 so far.
Jolla phone is ordered, should arrive next month.
But I'd like to point out, that there are more european phones running murena's e/OS/.
At least shift phone 8 and some Gigaset devices.
These Gigasets are good phones. I used them for several years and were absolutely happy with them.
