@atpfm I realize this might be out of scope for #askatp, but here goes. I have an older home cinema receiver that can only support Dolby Digital and DTS. I’m interested in Dolby Atmos, but I’m not thrilled about installing a lot of additional speakers. What are your thoughts on soundbars these days? I’m considering the Sonos Arc Ultra combined with a Sonos Amp to drive my existing rear speakers, so I’d still have some “real” surround.
@alistairlogie A good soundbar is a reasonable choice when you don’t have a receiver and discrete speakers. But there are a lot of really bad soundbars out there, so read/watch reviews before you buy. Here’s one place to find reviews: https://youtube.com/@andrewrobinsonreviews
