🔐 Encrypted chats no longer have to start with a blank slate...

For years, end-to-end encryption (E2EE) meant new members joining a chat couldn’t see any history. Conversations stayed cryptographically locked, forcing teams to rely on workarounds like screenshots just to provide context.

👉 Today, that changes. With seamless encrypted history sharing now available in Element, new members can securely access past conversations without compromising E2EE.

@element My team has been working on this for ages, and we finally got it done!.

Now, you can be invited to an encrypted room and read the history, if the room settings allow it.

Other encrypted messengers can't do this.
