“This study shows that…. nostalgia evoked by Studio Ghibli films significantly foster a sense of exploration and calm in life, as well as a feeling of mastery and skill, and purpose and meaning, hence ultimately contributing positively to one’s overall happiness in life. https://games.jmir.org/2025/1/e76522 #art

@Sheril Grave of the Fireflies is probably the saddest movie I have ever seen. 👽 🖖
@Sheril An actual study... 😆
Well, that's cool. I accept their conclusion without qualification.
@Sheril fun story, my sister and I used to watch Spirited Away a lot when I was about 9 and she was about 4. Somewhere along the way, the dvd got lost or scratched and we stopped watching it. Fast forward 20ish years, my sister is an adult, and at a friend’s house she sees a film that she thought her whole life was just a recurring dream that she’d had since childhood 😂
@Sheril Acabei de relembrar desse filme e gostei muito de vê-lo. Estou com vontade de assistir novamente.
@Sheril it's weird to me that this paper tested both the open world games and "studio ghibli nostalgia" at the same time.
@Sheril Best movie ever.
