Back in the '90s, I was in a tabletop RPG game set in the near future, where our GM classified our semi-cyberpunk characters as "Sinless"--a play on the idea of having no recorded identity in The System and the Canadian Social Insurance Number (like the USA's Social Security number), or SIN.
I'm sure he wasn't the one who came up with the idea and label. But I never found the (obviously) Canadian author or IP where this might have first appeared.
Anybody got info for me?
