tl;dr: I removed the “nginx proxy manager” add-on, and replaced it with the Let’s Encrypt add-on and (second) the nginx add-on.

Meh. I have ran Home Assistant in a venv for years (despite Frenck saying otherwise, LOL) - but with support for it dropped I switched to HAOS too. From a technical perspective, it runs fine. Feeling-wise different story though.
@h3artbl33d That feels very much like my experience!
A shame really. I do still ponder whether to go back, despite unsupported. But at this point it feels like taking a gamble with my home - which I prefer to Just Work ™️. And cosplaying / moonlighting as a NOC engineer outside of $dayjob is a bit meh too.
Perhaps I'll tinker with venvs for the less 'critical' stuff.
