@TheBreadmonkey the problem is "Wes Steeting" just sounds like a Tory. This makes no sense, but then nothing makes any sense anymore.
Honestly though, I think Jess Philips going has killed Starmers chances of hanging on. People like her.
It seems like it's all kicking off pretty fast, too fast to get Burnham in place. Maybe Angela Rayner gets the nod?

@TheBreadmonkey THE PRESS® are gagggggging for another sacrifice. Since Cameron stood down, the longest a PM has served is just 3 years. The shortest is 50 days. What a nightmare.
Maybe the rules should be changed so that a serving PM needs to fulfil their entire term unless they break the law or become seriously ill.
Or die, of course. Can't have a corpse running the country, even though a corpse would have done less damage than Liz Truss.
