Maybe it's patronising but I always try to look for the underlying reason why people voted for #Brexit
Whether it's a sort of echo of the Norman Yoke or some other attempt to kick back against perceived oppressors, my gut feeling is that very few people voted for it on the technicalities about sovereignty or a conviction it'd be materially good for the UK.
I think those reasons have to be addressed before we're ready to #rejoin

The whole country is failing due to lack of maintenance. The #ukgovernment for at least the last rwenty-five years has concentrated on pretentious vanity schemes that make bosses rich and the people poor, and the country as a whole cannot afford them.

Our local party (closed down after last election by somewhat erratic unilateral decision) has just reestablished and it is all X, FB and Insta. I have suggested Mastodon but noone knows it. I will work on it locally but is there any way to take it to the top somehow? Can we get together on here to write an email? Any suggestions welcome. #UKpolitics
