@EUCommission "the values that brings us together..."
One of them is - but looks like soon to be WAS - privacy. There's a lot of talking at the EUC about privacy. But nothing is actually done.
Still using American servers to store sensitive data, to name just one thing, where privacy is almost but soon to be completely unknown.
Now I hear talking about banning VPN, only - really? I am not a conspiracy-believer, but now you have me wondering whether it is really JUST - because of age control.
Because there are plenty of other ways to control the age of social media subscribers, without having to collect all other posible data. Without having to just delete the complete existence of 'Privacy'. But not a single worst about them in your communication. What's why it makes me wonder ... Because I can absolutely not imagine nobody knows or has heard of or even thought about a possibility of a less drastic way for checking just the age.
@EUCommission ,
you've talked about trusting the EUC, having faith in the European Union...
Maybe, I am not an expert but just maybe... when you actually think before immediately shooting something off, when you actually listen to what REAL people - as in: down to earth civilians, not you ivory tower inhabitants - have to say, maybe trust will grow.
Shoot VPN down, and you will for sure achieve the opposite. No expert needed to tell you that.
So maybe don't skip the first part of that report.
For one because the internet is way bigger than the EU.
Privacy is a right. Stop violating the right to privacy on fallacies.
