Finally! YouTube has implemented a setting called “Preferred languages” where you as a user can select all the languages you understand, and YouTube will then play videos with these languages using their original audio, instead of using the annoying AI audio translation.
If you want to take advantage of this feature, go to
⚙️ Settings -> Languages -> Preferred languages
@randahl never experienced YT translating audio and as far as I know my preferred language is just set to English.
I just want they're played in the original language. I can add subtitles.

The browser already has a setting for what languages you understand. But Google always has to invent their own solution (even if Chrome already is their own solution), and hide it behind a Google account login.
@randahl I didn't know that YouTube translated content. When I watch German YouTubers its always in plays in German.
