@stefan I'd love to see a modern updated one with 6-8-10
@stefan interesting that the woman is working and the man is doing what he will
@fuat2mb Well it looks like a woman and a man in the last frame. And the second frame is ambiguous.
Maybe it's just my interpretation, but I don't think this is meant to say anything about gender roles.
If anything, maybe it's meant to be inclusive of women workers?
@stefan it that a Catholic Worker drawing?
@stefan Thanks for the wishes.I did not have a holiday but worked on my garden where I have vegetables to feed vulnerable families from the community.
@2003MugishaPhocit Great way to spend a May Day! ✊
@stefan yeah.
And have you been angaged in making our planet a better place for everyone?
@2003MugishaPhocit I try to do my part, a little bit here and there.
What you are doing is very admirable!
@stefan @onpaperwings The 8 hours drawing is by Ricardo Levins Morales. Check out https://www.rlmartstudio.com/about/about-the-artist/ @rlmartstudio
@stefan It left out housework
Wondering why the U.S. and Canada celebrate their Labor Day in September?
"The ruling class did not want to have a very active labor force connected internationally," said Peter Linebaugh, author of The Incomplete, True, Authentic, and Wonderful History of May Day. "The principle of national patriotism was used against the principle of working-class unity or trade union unity."

Good spot. Globalism not internationalism.
