this attack (and that's what it is) isn't just about CNN, it's about Twitter, Tiktok, CBS, CNN, Facebook WAPO, etc. etc

Really annoyed at all the snotty "Erm, well I don't watch CNN!"/"No one watches CNN!"/"Who cares?!?!" responses to this post from people unable to think about the broader media landscape and information environment.

like yeah they may fuck up, and yeah they're too cocky about it, and yeah some of these companies will implode or were already dying, but that most decidedly does not mean you should not be extremely worried about it if you care about democracy and informed consensus
