Honestly nauseating this is even being considered. The fact the US is sliding into fascism indeed makes it worse, but is beside the point. This pertains to fundamental rights.
The US admin would never accept the inverse terms, which is to say handing over the biometric data of every US citizen to another nation state, for any reason.
Yielding to bullying never ends well. They take miles & hand out inches, if at all.
This needs to be fought down
@JulianOliver On this end, they have been floating mandatory DNA tests as well as biometrics and 5 years of social media for visitors at the border! We would never see another tourist.
I have no plans to visit the USA (especially with the current fascists in charge). Can I opt out of having my data sent to them?

When will you all realize that is no longer present tense, it is past tense
@SnowyCA When member states no longer have the freedom of self-determination nor any legal recourse against the ruling administration, so dissolved of their political mobility; when elections are wholly captive; when journalists & dissidents are jailed or shot, it will be a complete regime.
While seemingly not far off, it is not there yet. IMO to say the US as a whole is a fascist dictatorship insults those under the hammer elsewhere.
There is still room to move and resist in the US for now
