I seem to regularly get follows from accounts that post a continuous stream of "mutual aid" requests. And have literally never posted anything else from the day they opened their Fedi/Mastodon accounts.

I presume these are scammers and grifters and nefarious others preying on the good nature of others. Many of them seem to be LLM-written, presumably being operated autonomously.

I block them, but should I be reporting them or doing anything else? They generally seem to come from the mega instance(s), so I presume they've already been mass-reported by the time I see them.

@cazabon sounds like it's worth reporting them.
I get a few too, but mostly just mute them.
Maybe I should report them too....
