Late, but a good start.
@heidilifeldman It's a start...
@heidilifeldman the entire administration is held in contempt in my house.....
This is good news, but a $500 a day fine seems small, compared to illegally putting someone in prison---even a clean prison with decent food and proper health care, which we know this is not.
I know, it's not compensation to the victim. But surely it should deter other government lawyers from ignoring judges' orders, and this doesn't look much like deterrence.
If the rank and file attorneys can't keep up, maybe DOJ management should be held in contempt.
@heidilifeldman Hi, thanks for accepting my friend request. I must say that you look beautiful. How are you.
@heidilifeldman
"Isihar is among the military lawyers who have agreed to temporarily work for the US attorney’s office to fill staffing gaps left by a slew of resignations by Minnesota prosecutors, following a decision not to investigate the killing of Renee Good by a federal immigration officer."
Pro-tip: Don't volunteer to get paid a lot of money by a fascist regime which is creating an impossible workload for you via unconstitutional actions against vulnerable populations.
Wasn't there a SCOTUS ruling that everyone had to bring their own individual habeas case instead of a grouped class action, or something like that?
Is this not the direct effect of that ruling?
@ashhobbit Yes, the Supreme Court made that ruling on an appeal from a class recognition for habeas in the CECOT renditions. So, yes, the fact that the Trump regime objected to class treatment for habeas and that it keeps wrongfully arresting and detaining people together mean that the DoJ is swamped with habeas cases.
