It's a useful shortcut, it saves time.
@Tutanota ooooooh. game changer. thank you 👍🏽🫶🏽 🫵🏽
@ghose It's a pleasure. Enjoy! :)
@Tutanota It looks like just a webpage shortcut
@Tutanota Hrm. And the very next message in my feed...
I'll link my reply to the previous post rather than copying it here.
@Tutanota I wrote the reply yesterday and got no response. Is this Tuta all a scam?
“ @Tutanota I signed up. Tried to send one test email to another account and it failed saying: “Your account can not be used any more because the Tuta terms and conditions were violated, e.g. by sending spam emails.”
I hadn’t used the account at all!
@SkeeCR Hi there, like every email service Tuta Mail blocks accounts only if our Terms are violated, e.g. for sending bulk spam emails. Please contact our support at hello@tutao.de so that we can check whether this is the case here. It's also possible that newly created accounts were marked as part of an abusive mass sign-up; this can happen if you sign up via a shared IP address like a (free) VPN or with the Tor browser.
@Tutanota my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. That isn't integration, and your announcement is incredibly deceptive. Next time, at least try.
@Tutanota I know the security is why I'll never get what I want out tuta, and that's fine but this really doesn't help anything imo. It's just using Thunderbird as the browser for access.
@Tutanota Awesome! I directly added the calendar and mail add-ons. A little suggestion: The symbol and text for both tabs look exactly the same - I would prefer to see there which one is Calendar and which is Mail. Can you use the respective symbols (like in the sidebar) instead of the generic Tuta symbol?
@ditsch42 Thanks for the feedback.
@Tutanota When I saw this post, it got me excited. Today could have been the day.
However, after reading the article, it is not what I was expecting. I was hoping for an extension that would act as a bridge/translation layer between Thunderbird and the encrypted backend of Tuta, so we could use TB as is.
Perhaps sometime in the future...
@Tutanota oh wow very interesting
@Tutanota eine tolle Nachricht, die mich als langjährigen Thunderbird-Nutzer sehr freut. Das probiere ich heute am Abend gleich mal aus. Bin auf die Funktionalität gespannt.
@Tutanota To me this looks like just showing the Tuta webinterface in Thinderbird. So in this case Thunderbird is nothing more than a browser.
@Tutanota oh wow interesting
@Tutanota this has solved a problem for me- thank you!
@Vojaganto Glad to hear this! Happy encrypting. 🥰
@Tutanota this is amazing news :)
Why do I need an addon? The entire point of wanting to use Thunderbird is for it to integrate into the regular UX of Thunderbird. Not to have it in a browser tab within Thunderbird...
@Tutanota When to add native OpenPGP support to Tuta?
