The fediverse is anti-capitalist. The fediverse is anarchist praxis. The fediverse is not a protocol. The fediverse caries an ideology of communal care and mutual aid for our fellow humans. The fediverse should never be neutral on ideology. The tools we are building provide infrastructure for communication but they also shape that communication.

@liaizon and this BTW is why the platforms that compose the Fediverse can and are used also by fascists and their friends (Gab, “Truth” Social, etc) yet those instances are NOT part of the Fediverse.

The fediverse is trans. Trans as in non binary. Trans as in transition. Trans as in transitional.
The fediverse is oxymoronic, it's both working perfectly and completely broken. It's chaotic chaos and JSON-LD. It's 404 not found and filling up your hard drive with media files. It's built on standard and protocols and made up on the spot. It has the institutional backing of governments and ngos while it's anti-state. It's anti fascist and the fascists are enjoying the tools we produce.
