Loops Starter Kits are almost here, and will allow you to create Kits of Loops profiles to help solve the discovery/who to follow problem!

They are consent driven, with the default requiring permission for each Kit inclusion, however you can opt to automatically approve all, local-only or from accounts you follow ✨

Stay tuned.

@dansup This is pretty cool, have you been chatting with the Masto team to make this feature platform-agnostic? Since I know they’re working out protocols to have Collections, as well.

@moshimotsu They are aware of my implementation, and have used it as a foundation for theirs!

@dansup I'm curious why this is needed. I found people to follow just by scrolling. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad idea but I *am* sure that "starter packs" are a corporate social media feature so I'm suspicious that they're a dopamine farming tool.

@90sScriptKiddiw They are simply an onboarding and discovery tool, similar to the suggested accounts to follow, but more targeted towards specific interests.

I believe the first example was BlueSky, then X/Twitter copied them, so not sure about that corporate angle
