my #matrix server's federation endpoints are popping off in the last few days, i'm not even in that many communities and we just created our server with #continuwuity less than a month ago, i think this just goes to show that people are indeed interested to something other than #discord

@theraspb it's nice seeing people start to explore other options than whatever is put in front of them and going with the flow
@decryption you need the further enshittification to push people into looking for options, i'm not exactly a matrix champion, it certainly has its rough edges and needs further work. but its VERY close and i'd argue that having an open protocol with federation is more important than it looking or behaving a certain way.
and i think its the local nerds responsibility not just to help these people make matrix/fedi viable for their use-case but its up to us to listen and understand to push common snags and issues into the forefront of issues and bug fixes.
