The irony of organizations that have not acknowledged the genocide in Gaza, or said a single critical word about anything Israel has done in Gaza and the West Bank, is not lost on me.
This post brought to you courtesy of Boston's Jewish Community Relations Council co-sponsoring a Yom HaShaoah commemoration with a bunch of organizations that have refused to acknowledge the Gaza genocide.)

When I challenged them on it, they responded with this:
"We agree — organizations that support genocide should probably not host Yom HaShoah commemorations. We do not support genocide."

I responded with this:
My response:
“We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere. When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must - at that moment - become the center of the universe.”
