Interesting experiment! It's worth reading @meganmariehart's thread.
P. S. It had 327 boosts, 4 quotes and 147 likes in 3 hours. I hope I didn't spoil it by adding hashtags.

@everton137 @meganmariehart I use hashtags for irony.
@meganmariehart
I hate long toots. Here are no threads.
@Boerps @meganmariehart it was transformed into a thread to explain the initial post without hashtags.
I also prefer long text on blogs, but that was a case where a thread makes sense.
@everton137 @meganmariehart
1. You are on Mastodon. There are no threads here. There are toots.
2. A long toot is pointless because often only half of it gets through. If I'm not on the same server, I see toots 1, 4, and 6, but not the ones in between, or I see them much later.
@everton137 @meganmariehart
It's OK. There should be instances (servers) where you can write longer texts. Otherwise, the only option is to refer to a website.
@Boerps @meganmariehart I use @write_as for blog posts connected to the Fediverse.
Although I am a bit disappointed because my last post haven't appeared here in the profile @tropicalreason
I still need to write more to check if it works, since it was not cheap to pay their annual fee, and I did because I wanted to support this service.
