#CrowUpdate (no pics) So I haven't seen the crows much during the past few days (one reason could be the cold). I also noticed some other crows (the "south crows" probably) flying around the park a little bit too much.
Well, I got a picture of the situation a few minutes ago. I was at my desk when I saw a crow flying and landing on a pole, but... I can't explain... I could tell right away it wasn't one of "my" crows. ⤵️

It didn't fly with enough assurance, as if it knew it was not supposed to be there. Still, it landed on a pole on the side of the park, and a second later, I heard some threatening caws, quickly followed by Ms Crow trying to dislodge it, quite aggressively, while still trying to avoid contact. It didn't work, but a few more seconds later, Mr Crow showed up and rammed into the invader, talons first, and that was quite impressive. They both fell behind a tree and I couldn't see what happened next⤵️
But then, both Mr and Ms Crow stood on the pole, reminding the neighborhood that was their park!!!
I've seen some crow skirmishes before, but that was the most impressive yet.
And indeed, I'm afraid the south crows (or other crows) are trying to take over the park. (while the neighbor has stopped leaving food on the ground, I think she still feeds the crows the way I showed her, but I wonder if she's not feeding the south crows by mistake. I haven't seen her much lately, either.
