Browsed through #Amazon #Books yesterday to see what the current landscape of #Ubuntu books was. Sorting by publication date, I'm pretty sure most if not all of the new books were #AISlop. Digging into some of the "authors", this became even more obvious. OTOH, books by real authors (e.g. “mastering Ubuntu server”) have not been updated since 2022.
Let's support real tech publishers like @mwl https://nostarch.com but also more philosophical authors in our bubble like @pluralistic - otherwise the self-digesting heaps of silicone from moltbook will push us into intellectual slavery.
