I always feel so excited when the sun returns, but also a little sad. Everything starts happening so quickly now. I'm not ready to emerge from winter. I'm never ready to give up the calm of the polar night.

@ewen I understand that, but we start to jump into such exciting times. The Nunavut Questbdig team race, which is a big deal here, the return of the birds, Spring camping. I love both the dark and the light season, miss both when I live I the other. Love the one I’m in.
I have to say I’m grateful for the return of solar power at the cabin.
@NunavutBirder I know there is celebration at seeing the sun. Is there on when you first see a shadow? (sun high enough to cast shadows) ?
