Trip to the cabin this afternoon to charge the battery. But a high tide saw a flooded shore (right up into the river) and warm temps meant it wasn’t frozen yet. Went out again this evening but plans to work on the in laws cabin went out the window. #CabinLife #Nunavut
2:30 am, back from my fourth? fifth? trip to the cabin. Good news it’s warmed up, -31 now. But a working generator is in place and one less thing to worry about. #CabinLife #Nunavut

Cold out there. Generator problems, but I finally got one going. Charging the battery a bit before I try and get some heat into the in-laws cabin so then I can get their battery charged. Then I’ll get back at their new flooring. -33 is hard on everything. #CabinLife #Nunavut

Bit of an unusual sighting this afternoon. On our way to the cabin we noticed a bright star that I first thought was Venus, but it was too high. Suddenly it got very bright, and then just as quickly faded to a dim point of light. #CabinLife #nunavut
Heading to the cabin shortly. For coffee and to mount the wind turbine’s control box. Photo was from yesterday. #CabinLife #nunavutvotes
Occurred to me that I never posted photos of the completed bedroom. 📸 Leah. #CabinLife #nunavutvotes
Made some polar bear deterrents today. Polar bears can get into cabins by standing on their hind legs and pushing windows (or doors) with their forepaws. #cabinLife #Nunavut

Off to spend the night in the cabin. You folks be good to yourselves. And kind to everyone else. #CabinLife #Nunavut
The view south from the cabin this afternoon, past my in-laws’ cabin. #CabinLife #Nunavut

A tour of the cabin, made by Leah. (Except the bedroom where I am hiding)

We’re waiting on a couple pieces of trim for the bedroom and I need to make cabinet doors. But we are calling it done. Starting to haul tools back tomorrow. #CabinLife #Nunavut
