Torrance County extends #ICE detention contract one day after #NewMexico Legislature voted to ban such agreements
“…House Bill 9, the Immigrant Safety Act, prohibits public entities from contracting with ICE for immigrant detention.
Following the state Senate’s passage Tuesday, the bill now heads to Governor Lujan Grisham, who indicated she will sign it.”
