Daraj Document: Hundreds of Egyptian Women and Children in al-Hol and Roj Camps, Will Cairo Bring Them Home?
Daraj has obtained a document containing the names of 431 Egyptian women and their children who have been living in the al-Hol and Roj camps since 2017 and 2018 to date. The document shows that 276 of them are female, including women and girls, while 303 of the total are under the age of twenty. It also reveals that more than twenty Egyptian boys and girls were born inside the al-Hol and Roj camps. The question remains: will Cairo repatriate its citizens, as many other countries have done, or leave them under the authority of the Syrian administration?
