Dear hivemind,
I'm looking for some survey form system that allows me to take a tablet somewhere without internet access, fill the form, and then the system syncs the answers to the backend when the tablet regains Internet access.
I know Redcap does it, but I was thinking of something more open?

@lffontenelle Open Data Kit: https://getodk.org/ . Originally designed for field data collection in humanitarian response settings. Hosted version supports the OS development. Can be fairly complex to manage.
@lffontenelle We used it for a number of field projects but really needed a sysadmin to manage our own server, so it may be worth paying. That said, there's so many tools for offline apps in the browser these days, there might be a simpler solution if you want something very basic.
