@miyotehew what a nice shot, I love these birds! I heard a couple calling on my last birding outing, but couldn't spot them...
@idzie Thank you, same 馃槉 they visit from time to time. These smaller ones use city green ways ground to mid level, tree top is all crow here..The largest Pileated I've seen was in a steep mountainous area with no crows present.
@miyotehew oh I'd never thought about different populations being different sizes, that's interesting. I think all the ones I've seen around me have been similarly large...
