@garius when I first saw Umamusume trending I thought "weird. but its anime girls, they had that one about tank school that was fun, so.." thinking it was an anime about girls-who-were-really-into-horses, like equestrian school.
Then my son said "no, literal anime girls who are horses. They live in a stable and you race them." wut.
Its bizarre, but in a "well.. that's anime for you." kinda way.
