My wife's very favourite thing in all of the world are Pastéis de Nata, or Portuguese custard tarts. We went vegan some years back and she's always bemoaned the fact we can no longer have them. I've been meaning to get round to trying to make some plantbased ones but keep forgetting. She was in London town today and found a place that does vegan ones and I honestly don't think she's ever been this happy about anything before ever. She said it's changed her life and keeps asking me if she can watch me eat one. But I've just had a lot of dinner and can't manage it so she has gone off, cross, to have a bath. I'll be honest - it's a bit weird.
Edit - OK that was legitimately the best thing I've ever eaten. I must have more.
