🧵of organizations working to ensure free and fair elections in the U.S. This one pairs election officials with pro bono attorneys. If you’re a lawyer, you can volunteer with it. https://eoldn.org/. #LawFedi 1/

Democratic state secretaries of state have worked tirelessly to hold free and fair elections in their states. This is their political organization. https://demsofstate.org/
Make sure you know who your state sec of state is, D or R, and keep on top of whether and how they are protecting ballot access and elections. https://ballotpedia.org/List_of_current_secretaries_of_state_in_the_United_States 2/

@heidilifeldman 48 states actively perform mass voter disenfranchisement of 100s of millions of voters quadrennially by distorting the electoral outcome through antidemocratic “winner-take-all” award of presidential electors, whereas proportional award of electors, which states are perfectly free to adopt now, would let the Electoral College match the popular vote as we all want. No Constitutional changes needed. But alas, we’ll put this on hold for another few presidential cycles it seems.

The National Association of Secretaries of State makes it easy to look up how to become a poll worker in your state. This is a vital role most U.S. citizens can play to help keep US elections free and fair. https://www.nass.org/can-i-vote/become-a-poll-worker 3/

For information on becoming a poll worker, select your state from the dropdown menu below. Poll workers are hired at the local level, so contact your local election official if you have questions on the process to become a poll worker in your area.

@heidilifeldman this one MAGA lady says she’s a “committeeman” for her state. She says she’s driving to another city and staying in a hotel in order to argue about electoral process. Says the committee decides how ballots get “interpreted” and TPUSA is calling for more volunteers like her to “protect” [election integrity]. Horrific, truly, given what an absolute moron and mean, selfish, entitled shitbag she is, but I digress. Also complains about trans bathrooms on work comms. 👩🏻‍🦳 ofc
