@TOrynski I don't think Brexit or non-EU membership has much to do with that, honestly. Norway and Iceland aren't EU members, and have thriving economies. It's _how_ you manage those economies. The old stereotype of this pompous UK banker in a top-hat, which is featured in a NUMBER of American films, is very much becoming a real thing again. Because there is no leash. Capitalism is a fantastic thing...when it has leash. Norway has a leash. Iceland has a leash. The US and the UK don't....

And the Common Market is a great thing, and I'm happy Norway is apart of that, maybe in a more limited protectivist sort of way, because key industries are state managed, which is unique in the EU, but they are. And the rigidity of the CM prevents corruption by anyone government, which is why countries that do participate in it have much more stable economies.
