You protect you and others when you do. You encourage other folks to consider protecting themselves as well.
Otherwise at some point down the line you'll be where I am. Desperately trying to preserve my energy and feeling very sad, angry and worried about the folks attending.
@onepict I won't be going to conferences any time soon -- long covid is, as you make very clear, quite a bitch. I'm too sick to travel, and more than an hour or so of interaction with other people floors me for days.
And that's why I'm so shocked when I see photos for conferences like aKademy or LIbre Graphics Meeting and nobody is masked.

@halla yeah, it's what gets me about tech.
Like you pointed out in your article, we need to consider not flying to places. But we also can see that Tech with it's last two fads is burning our resources on so many levels.
