This popular and cool ham radio clock, the HamClock, will just stop working in June, because the developer of it passed away. (looks like someone is building replacement, open source software for this though).

@ai6yr I also think the onus is on us to refuse to engage with proprietary software. "How nice for you that you wasted your time making that thing that will die with you."

@freakazoid Probably the best thing here would have been for the original author to tap the open data sources, instead of maintaining their own server to feed all this data.
