for translation, it's the same... It takes humans more time to clean up machine translations than it would take those humans to produce a clean translation from scratch... Unfortunately, in the case of translations, AI slop quality is deemed "good enough" by most companies. Hence thousands upon thousands of translators are out of work and we're all stuck with piss poor translations.
Yay.
