#Listening to Spiderland, a 1991 album by US mathrock pioneers Slint;

https://slint.bandcamp.com/album/spiderland-remastered

Reminds me somewhat of King Missile's Happy Hour, released a year later, which is one of my all-time favourite albums. Infamous for the single Detachable Penis. Also to some degree The Jesus Lizard, particularly the vocal style and some of the guitar tones.

I can't believe I never discovered Slint during the 90s, or even the noughties. Great stuff.

@strypey Oh ... I remember this to be awesome. But totally forgot. I think I even owned that on tape. 🤔

I definitely owned Happy Hour on tape, and a couple of other King Missile albums too if I remember rightly.

There was a time when I only bought tapes and refused to get a CD player. But then indie bands I liked started releasing album as CD-only, many of them burned at home. Which made me revise my opinion and embrace the CD as a DIY music disruption medium.
