Activist Ranjan Balakumaran sat outside the Ministry of Justice yesterday, calling for action to be taken on behalf of the final hunger striker, Umer Khalid, who began a thirst strike three days ago.

An update to report. He has ended his hunger strike after 17 days with no food and 2 days with no fluids. He said “I am too strong, too loud, too powerful…and there is so much we can do to affect change.”
