Please stop using floating buttons on your websites!

It's hiding your content on small mobile phones and print-to-pdf 😭

@Em0nM4stodon Floating button experiment on https://boho.oldrup.dev/ - please give me your honest opinion - I'm in doubt whether I built it because it might be useful, og because it was fun to do.

I would read so many more articles from @euronews if I didn't have to deal with this UI annoyance. Why even do that? It's not helping anything at all!

Screenshot of an EuroNews article showing arrow floating buttons for going to previous or next article that are partially covering the text for the current article.

@Em0nM4stodon @euronews
I see that crap on mobile news websites all the time, except most that I see are about twice the size - enough to fit text inside that says "swipe right for the next article".
And they won't go away; tapping elsewhere on the page doesn't make them disappear; they don't go away when you scroll down; if you press on it it will take you to the next article, but then when you go back it's right back where it was before!

And it messes up with the Android back gesture.

@Em0nM4stodon Those floaty things are SO annoying. I made darn well sure not to use them on my own website.
