Boo. First run, threw in Journey's Escape (player was built in '89 seemed period-appropriate) and won't track well past track five or six, which is a shame because the audio quality is significantly better than the random Sony DVD player I'm currently using to play CDs. Really noticeable in the highs. #💿
@knapjack Gotta love the Escape album, though… ☺️
@knapjack I feel attacked.

It's alive!
My initial Google search suggested the wrong battery, which I did not figure out until I cracked it open. Fortunately, I had the right battery in the house. Had to download the manual, which is not normal for me and anything digital, but it reuses the light button to get into set mode.
It has this cool dual time mode where you set Time 1, then just set the offset for Time 2, so I set Time 1 to UTC and then just set the offset for my local time and left it on Time 2.
You can preset the countdown timer. I haven't decided if I'm going to leave it pre-set for tea or pre-set for Pomodoro. 😁
Shoot, the chime is dead (which is really strange for a digital watch), so the countdown timer is less useful.
I also realized having Time 1 on UTC means the alarms would need to be set to UTC. Now that the alarms won't alarm it's kind of a non-issue.
The band is really comfortable but is the kind of rubber that picks up every dead skin flake.
