Trans masc (nonbinary) though still a bit shy about claiming it.
The few trans masc characters I've read in romance have all be well done, but there are very few of them and all of them have been trans men, not nonbinary. Some days as a nonbinary person it's hard to feel like I'm 'allowed' to claim trans masc identity. It would be nice to see some rep.
As an author, I sometimes struggle with how to 'show' a character is trans, especially characters who aren't central to a story. I'd like more readers to understand that when we are 'in your face' about a characters trans status it's because the choice may be between that and them never knowing the character is meant to be trans.
Hope some of this helps.
