What's your thought on computing self-sovereignty?
What's your thought on computing self-sovereignty?
@organicmaps Soverign computing needs to be made easier. Many awesome projects are working hard for this and I wish them all success: @realdrdoug, @yunohost, @freedomboxfndn, @start9labs / @56a6b75373c8f7b93c53bcae86d8ffbaba9f2a1b38122054fcdb7f3bf645b727
@organicmaps I started hosting Jellyfin on an old computer as a personal project. I now host my own Nextcloud, website, NTFY server, Peertube. I'm trying to be as sovereign as I can.
@organicmaps hosting code on github is not self-sovereign, we should use platforms like #Codeberg instead
@organicmaps maybe it's just me but I wouldn't use a guy who implied owning child sexual abuse material as harmless to promote my thing.
@organicmaps Interesting that he mentions Signal, but that is not self hosted. Understandable there are not any real viable self-hosted messaging apps, but interesting that he makes a distinction between Signal and Telegram
@organicmaps my though for vitalik is step one, stop posting on a child pornography site.
@organicmaps
Don't you implemented Google search? So you are not against #bigtech and a not a Kind of #unplugbigtech thing?
@DerBusch would you please clarify your question? The search in Organic Maps is fully offline, and works only on your device, looking in downloaded maps, created from OpenStreetMap.org data.

@organicmaps I find it strange that the link is to a post on X 😂
@organicmaps Have at-least one way to contact people over non-centralized communication channels.
