I remember the first time I encountered an Apple interface, on somebody's laptop at a meeting. Swore I'd never put up with so much useless, distracting animation. Windwoes glassiness just made titlebars hard to read. My decroded eyes like it simple.
I have learned to like one - quite optional -clickbling effect of Linux Mint. When the eye-con momentarily flies out of the panel, I know my clumsy mouse-hand really hit the right spot 🤣 But nothing clamors for my attention otherwise.

I find this very disturbing. These huge buttons obscure the screen view, the dynamic of the process makes it a nightmare
