@rysiek After getting fuck-all as results of my personal investment in AI-based development of a MVP, I can't see myself investing anymore of my personal money in AI-based Software development. I'd rather finance the grumpy, long-haired guy in an old T-shirt who does it right, than paying for really friendly ("that's a great idea, I have done this, and you want that so let me try to do it... now it's wirking here's te documentation --- pouf, nothing works, another iteration...")

@rysiek My problem with this, is that it is adopted. A lot. I work for a company that is going crazy about adoption -- we've got goals for this year to go "AI native", everyone is expected to go to at least 2 "AI" trainings, and use it to "analyse" requirements and "write" code. Developers around me seem to be fine with it (or even excited), looking for new use cases. It feels terrible to be the only person (in quite a big company) that's sceptical about AI.
@RosaCtrl @pfm OpenAI is deep in the red. I have not heard of Anthropic getting anywhere near positive cashflow either. If Google was making money hand over fist on Gemini, they would not have to force it on everyone in Google Workspace – people would pay extra to have it.
Which are the companies that "seem to be doing better" you speak of, I am genuinely curious!
@RosaCtrl @pfm from what I see this is all a lot of hot air to scam investors out of their money.
MS and Google and AWS are probably making bank to some extent on infrastructure, but this is not going to go on if the "AI" businesses built on top of that infrastructure start going bust. Which seems like they will, based on all the above.

@rysiek Actually, he wants us to stop thinking of Windows as "slop". I just loaded Linux on my laptop and now when I move it, it doesn't go slosh-slosh. That's what he must mean.
