Went back to check on the tree with the gelatinous blobs. Definitely only on a couple of small branches (on a very big tree) so based on information from the Tree People of Mastodon I am hopeful for its survival.
Took some more photos while I was there. I really need to go when there's some proper daylight, but that might be a couple of months away 馃槅
Should probably also stop posting things that are too small to make out on phones, but not to worry.
