Do the European Union and NATO finally understand that Trump is absolutely serious about what he wants, regardless of how outlandish his stated goals?
Unless he's challenged with concrete action (calling his bluff), Trump will do all he can to get what he wants.
His bluff wasn't called on Venezuela, so he kept raising the stakes.
Perhaps our allies learned a valuable lesson?
