Whenever you see what #ICE is doing in front of cameras, you must imagine what they're doing where nobody can see them--like in the concentration camps the USA is building. It's easy to read those words and much harder to fathom what they mean; that this is happening in our day and age, in what until recently was believed to be a first world country. "Abolish ICE" doesn't go nearly far enough in my view.

@Gargron ICE is a symptom rather than a cause. The election of Donald Trump, a man clearly unsuited to wielding great power, is yet another symptom. Does the fault lie with capitalism and with our limited version of democracy? Does the power and direction of the media help or hinder? And what of massive corporations?
Massive change is clearly needed, but how to bring this about is the question which needs to be asked.

@Gargron What ICE is doing now is a continuation of what the US has done for decades whether officially and federally, as with prisoners in Iraq and other CIA black sites, or locally and supposedly rogue, as with, for example, the Chicago police torture factories run by Jon Burge and Richard Zuley.
If you scratch the surface you will find a long and rich history of incredible violence against its own citizens the vast majority, of course, being people of colour.

Why isn't an impeachment case on Stephen Miller in progress? He is 100% responsible for these illegal kidnappings. Congressman Sean Casten is calling for these ICE thugs to be held criminally accountable once the administration is out of office. In the meantime Americans must continue to resist and ostracize these ICE criminals. I'm boycotting Wyndam Hotels and Hilton for renting rooms to these out of control fascist thugs.
I think the cruelty serves a purpose to promote group cohesion among the admins supporters.
And it also serves a much more important purpose for their goal to disenfranchise Blue cities and states so they can “win” the mid-term elections. They know they will lose decisively if folks in these areas get to vote.

Abolish? Nah... let them lose their lives (as in lifestyles) - disenfranchise all of them (take everything they have - home, transport, any and all possessions) and make it a crime for anyone to provide them with support beyond the most basic of necessities - a little bit of food to keep their "soul"(?) attached to their body...
